| EATING OUT IN OTTERY LOCAL PUB The Volunteer Inn is situated in the square close to all the shops and amenities. The pub was built in about 1670 and still retains many of the original features , low beamed ceilings, window seats and nooks and crannies. The pub has undergone a complete re furbish by new licencee Bea and her husband David. The pub now has a smart bar area, wihch serves award winning real ales straight from the cask and proud to boast a perfect pint award. A tastefully decorated dining room serving great pub food at lunchtime and evenings all ingredients are locally sourced . We have a very popular grill night on wednesdays , Traditional Sunday roasts are not to be missed ,home cooked using the best meats and veg, its the home of " real gravy" We have a courtyard area , a really nice area to sit on a sunny day. BED AND BREAKFAST ACCOMMODATION Upstairs three great letting rooms all newly decorated , simple but tastful. A double, twin and a large family room , with tea and coffee making facilities , tv ,and all rooms have windows overlooking the square. Although none are en suite a new bright shower room and seperate toilet are on the same level. The Volunteer Inn is all about " the personal touch" Bea and David are always on the premisis promising you thier best attention at all times weather you just pop in for a drink with friends, or want to eat. our "back room" is available for functions , buffets, wakes, meetings ,just pop in and ask we will always try and help !!!
